How to Connect Shopify to Zoho Books in 5 Steps
Connecting Shopify to Zoho Books with SyncTools takes under 20 minutes and requires no developer access.
Step 1 — Install SyncTools from the Shopify App Store Search for SyncTools and click Install. Grant permissions so SyncTools can read your Shopify orders, payouts, and transaction data.
Step 2 — Connect your Zoho Books organisation In SyncTools, go to Accounting System → Zoho Books. Complete the Zoho OAuth flow to link your organisation. SyncTools reads your chart of accounts and pre-fills a recommended account mapping.
Step 3 — Map Shopify transactions to Zoho Books accounts Assign each transaction type to the correct account: gross sales → Sales Revenue, Shopify fees → Merchant Fees, taxes → Tax Payable (liability), refunds → Sales Returns, COGS → Cost of Goods Sold.
Step 4 — Choose summarized or individual sync Use summarized sync (daily Zoho Books journal entries) for high-volume stores or individual sync (one Zoho Books record per Shopify order) for granular reporting.

No, You don’t need to connect your live account for a trial if you don’t want. Yes, you can use the Zoho Books sandbox also and test the system.
Does SyncTools support COGS synchronization to Zoho Books?
Yes. SyncTools syncs Shopify product cost data to Zoho Books as COGS line items — either per order or in summarized batches. Each sale posts gross revenue to your income account and the corresponding COGS to a dedicated expense account, giving you accurate gross margin in your Zoho Books P&L. COGS sync requires that product costs are set in Shopify before the order syncs.
Does this Shopify Zoho Books integration supports summarized sales synchronization as i don’t want the individual orders to sync to Zoho Books?
Yes. SyncTools supports summarized sales sync to Zoho Books on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis — posting a single invoice or journal entry per period instead of one entry per order. Ideal for high-volume Shopify stores where individual order invoices would slow reconciliation. Gross sales, fees, refunds, and taxes are still mapped to separate Zoho Books accounts in summarized mode.
What are the entities i can synchronize from Shopify with the help of SyncTools?
You can synchronize customers, products, billing and shipping addresses, and sales orders as an invoice with sales order line items SKU, price, description, tax rate, discount, etc…, classes, refunds as credit memo or refund receipt, customer payment as payment, purchase orders as purchase order or bill in Zoho Books.
